What has been your involvement in the Cursillo movement and other Church ministries?
I served for six years on Secretariat as Secretary, working on most Weekends, Rectora 2017, Cursillo de Cursillo 2018, Cursillista Renewal 2021. If you ask me, I'll be happy to be part of what could make our Rockford Cursillo an even better Lay Ministry for our Cursillistas! At my home parish, I'm a 25-year Lector at Mass and 11-year Religious Education teacher.
Why do you want to serve in this position on the Secretariat?
I believe I will be a good servant as Lay Director because of the many years of exposure I've had with Secretariat and in the presence of both Scott Long and Ken Meeker as past Lay Directors. I believe my dedication to God as well as to our Rockford Cursillo will be my guiding force to help continue to keep our Movement alive and headed in the right direction for our future Cursillistas.

What has been your involvement in the Cursillo movement and other Church ministries?
Cursillo is my main vocation. I have dedicated myself to serving CHIRST through Cursillo. I have been Lay Director and Assistant Lay Director in the past. I also am the Lead Trainer for all of the service teams for the weekends. I have developed many of our manuals and teaching materials. I give my all to Cursillo and all Cursillistas. I am a servant at heart.
Why do you want to serve in this position on the Secretariat?
Cursillo needs strong and experienced leadership. We have been through many challenges over the past few years. I have continued to attend Secretariat meetings and School of Leaders meetings over the last four years since I have been off Secretariat. Cursillo is very important to me and I give my all for the Movement to be successful. I will serve in whatever capacity is asked of me.

What has been your involvement in the Cursillo movement and other Church ministries?
Over the last 20 years I have held the following positions on Secretariat:
1. Lay Director, I held this position for two terms. a total of 6 years
2. Pre Cursillo Chairperson. I held this position for 1 term
Why do you want to serve in this position on the Secretariat?
Since making my Cursillo Weekend in the fall of 1997 I have deeply believed this Lay Movement is inspired and guided by the Holy Spirit. I have witnessed this 3 day "walk with Christ" open the hearts and minds of hundreds of people. witnessing the conversion of someone, from when they arrive Thursday evening, to Sunday afternoon, is beyond human explanation. having said this about the actual weekends, The Secretariat is a necessary group to help serve the Cursillo Movement. Many of the key positions of servant leadership are being replaced in early 2022. I am hopeful that we will elect some new servant leaders who will bring to the group new and exciting ways of looking at areas of concern, especially when it comes to being inclusive and welcoming to all who want to give of heir time working on weekends and working in the movement. so, if elected I will assist the new Lay Director in any way I can.

Head of Adoration Chapel for the last 10 years
Why do you want to serve in this position on the Secretariat?
After making my Cursillo I felt compelled to become more involved and help promote the Cursillo movement the best way I could. I realized how much needed to be done at St. Mary’s facility. Being a member of the parish I felt the best way to be involved was to ensure that those coming to Cursillo would have the best experience possible. Serving on Secretariat allows me to be the liaison between the movement and the Church.

Why do you want to serve in this position on the Secretariat?
As my primary ministry, I would like to see the movement continue to thrive. I would like to see the SOL emerge from the pandemic stronger and better. I think now is the time to move to monthly meetings held throughout the diocese that follow the National Cursillo guidelines . As the operating arm of the movement in the diocese, the SOL team will follow the mission and vision of the Secretariat.
